Made to Measure Curtains – Sanderson Chinese Lanterns

We have recently installed two pairs of full-length made to measure Curtains in this stunning Sanderson Chinese Lantern fabric.

Chinese Lantern is the most beautiful embroidered design of fuchsias available in three colourways; this is Wild Plum and there is also Peach Blossom and Mint/Apricot.

Fuchsias were discovered in the Dominican Republic during the late 17th century and are renowned for their striking colourways which Sanderson has carefully translated into this stunning design.

The intricacies of the flowerheads are shown through sensitive stitching of the pendants gently hanging in these delicate blooms.

The embroidered stitching of the flowerheads catches the light beautifully, giving the fabric depth and interest in a stunning visual feast.

The Curtains were made with a double pinch pleat heading and were lined and interlined to give a luxurious look and feel. As well as that gorgeous plush look of luxury Curtains, the interlining also helps with insulation, reducing heat loss through the windows.

The Curtains are hanging on a beautiful Bradley Collection curtain pole from their Steel Collection. This finish is known as ‘polished’ and there is a wide choice of finials in addition to the one shown here. Bradley Collection poles are an investment in timeless quality that will work perfectly and look superb for many years to come.

It’s always well worth asking us for a sample of embroidered fabrics. It is difficult in a photograph to show how stunning the embroidery will look in real life, only a sample held next to your window will give you as good an idea as possible how incredible it will be in finished Curtains.
